Since our business philosophy is built upon our life philosophy of service - the result being high quality products at prices you will appreciate assembled in a loving atmosphere full of wonderful energy contributed to by the many wonderful kindred spirits that frequent our store - I thought it only fair to share with you the basic tenants of what we, at Kindred Spirits, have come to know as truth. The Theosphical World View (written in 1875 by the way) most eloquently expresses it.
The Theosophical World View
1. The universe and all that exist within it is one interdependent whole.
2. Every existent being - from atom to galaxy - is rooted in the same universal, life creating Reality. This Reality is all-pervasive, but it can never be summed up in its parts, since it transcends all of Its expressions. It reveals itself in the purposeful, ordered, and meaningful processes of nature as well as in the deepest recesses of the mind and spirit.
3. Recognition of the unique value of every living being expresses itself in reverence for life, compassion for all, sympathy with the need of individuals to find truth for themselves, and respect for every religious tradition. The ways in which these ideals become realities in individual life are both the privileged choice and the responsible act of every human being.
Central to the concerns of this thought is the desire to promote understanding and fellowship among people of all races, nationalities, philosophies, and religions. Therefore, all people, whatever their race, creed, sex, caste, or color, are invited to participate as individuals, or within any collective environments that share in these basic beliefs and understandings.
The New Age movement imposes no dogmas, but points toward the source of unity beyond all differences. Devotion to truth, love for all living things, and commitment to a life without personal judgment of others.We at Kindred Spirits aim to avail to you tools and guides that will make your journey a fruitful delight.

Our Staff
Kindred Spirits is owned and operated by two
partners: Arci (pronounced Archie) Edwards
(that's me) and Howard Fawley. Howard & I
are partners in many ways. Our personal and
professional relationship developed
simultaneously 11 years ago.
Howard is the business manager of the team.
Over the years, with many different businesses,
he has proven his gift to take a sinking ship
and make it a cruiser. Somehow he keeps the
whole thing afloat and allows it to progress.
Howard's aim is to enrich the world with
honesty & trust, within business dealings
and personal relationships.
I love to shop. What better way to dovetail
that propensity than to be the buyer for a
retail store. I love finding the coolest stuff
at the absolute best prices. It is my aim to
enrich the world with empathy & acceptance
gained through transcendental knowledge.
We have a daughter, Prtha (pronounced Preeta -
means "most dear one") and she lives up to her
name. She is beautiful inside and out (I know,
I'm her mom). She is a lively, lovely spark
that will set much ignorance ablaze with her
sword of unconditional truth.
Our
Company
Kindred Spirits started in Cook's Flea Market
as the Brass Tree. We had two booths full of
brass. Slowly we increased our suppliers,
started buying stuff WE liked, and 5 years
later, when the building was sold to Home
Depot, we took it as an opportunity to move out
and move on.
We moved to the Arts District in 2001. We were
on 6th Street for almost 3 years, then after a
curse/blessing (long story) we moved into a
temporary space on Trade and NOW (yippie) we
are excitingly and graciously loving our one
year old location at 537A N Trade.
It is my goal to make this website an online
gathering place, an extension of our Kindred
Spirits Trade St gathering place.

Kindred Spirits is filled with wonderful
treasures. We carry clothing, jewelry, books,
statues, healing tools, crystals and gems,
music and audio CD's, home decour, feng shui
items, oils, incense and candles. So, don't
