What is an Indigo Child

Indigo is a term given the recent cohort of children who are now approximately 7 - 25 years old. Indigos have been sporadically taking birth since the 1950's, but a large concentration of Indigos were born between 1980 and 2000. And they have come with a mission.

Indigo Children tend to be...

-Strong-willed
-Creative, with an artistic flair
-Prone to addictions
-An old soul, as if they are 13 going on 43
-Intuitive or psychic, possibly with a history of seeing angels or deceased people
-Looks for real, deep and lasting relationships
-They are not shy in letting you know what they need
-An isolationist, either through aggressive acting-out or through fragile introversion
-Independent and proud
-Possessing a deep desire to help the world in a BIG way
-Wavers between low self-esteem and grandiosity
-Bored easily
-They have difficulty with absolute authority (authority without explanation or choice).
-Prone to insomnia, restless sleep, nightmares or difficulty/fear of falling asleep
-Easily bonds with plants or animals
-They often see better ways of doing things, both at home and in school, which makes them seem like "system busters" (nonconforming to any system)
-They have a history of depression, or even suicidal thoughts or attempts

We are entering a golden age, an age of peace and enlightenment. There are many systems currently in place that no longer serve us. The Indigos have come to rid us archaic systems which simply hold humanity back from living in the light.

Indigos have a warrior spirit, because their collective purpose is to mash down old systems that no longer serve us. They are here to quash government, educational, and legal systems that lack integrity. To accomplish this end, they need tempers and fiery determination.

As you can imagine, this warrior spirit is threatening to some adults. Indigos are unable to conform to dysfunctional situations at home, work, or school. They don't have the ability to dissociate from their feelings and pretend like everything's okay ...unless they are medicated or sedated. Sadly, when they are medicated, the Indigos often lose their beautiful sensitivity, spiritual gifts and warrior energy desperately needed for them to carry out their life's mission. Because they have a sense of their mission at a very young age, but have been stripped of their tools to fulfill it, as they get older, they often suffer intense existential guilt for not carrying out their mission.

Indigos are clearing the path for the next generation of children, currently aged 0 - 7 years old, the Crystal Children.
