Snatam Kaur
Live in Concert
Fine Arts Center, Salem College
500 E Salem Ave
Winston-Salem, NC 27101
March 1, 2008
This event was spectacularly beautiful.
Over 200 people joined with Snatam Kaur and
band to touch and develop a peaceful place
within us that we can radiate back out into our
worlds.
Snatam Kaur dedicated the concert to Rio Watson
from Asheville, who appreciated Snatam's music
very much and who had just transitioned the
Tuesday prior to the concert. Her family also
joined us that evening.
We also learned after the concert that another
participant's father just transitioned on her
drive to the concert. She also joined us,
seeing it a fitting send off in honor.
One of the songs we all offered was a chant of
"Akal" which means undying, everlasting and is
traditionally chanted to help propel passing
souls to a higher level of consciousness.
At one point, GuruGanesh invited the children
in the audience to come on stage and Snatam led
them in a song she is creating for her new
children's album
"It was a wonderful awakening and I rode home
feeling calm and peaceful. How wonderful to be
able to share that time with so many others,"
Lorraine H
"I have been playing the Grace CD every day
since Saturday, and all I can say is that it
totally alters my vibrational level. I
thank you with my now very full heart for the
concert, and the experience of being in the
presence of such a beautiful and grace-filled
being. She is simply radiant, and to
share the same space with someone who is
abundant love allows us to connect with our own
love and let it beam outwards. The
healing effect of the music was so effective
that I could barely utter a sound until the
next morning when everything settled and I felt
at peace within, " Judi M.
"The Snatam Kaur concert was another great
uplifting experience. I am already
looking forward to next year's concert," Eric
S.
"Thank you so much for a lovely evening last
night. It was an amazing concert and
please let me know when they are scheduled to
return," Miss T
"Snatam Kaur is neither a performer nor an
entertainer - she is a spiritualist. And she
and her associates allow us entrance into her
world of devotion as she connects with the
Divine through sacred sound," Arci E
.
